Students of the Aabsolute School Of Bartending are fortunate to have as their instructor Miss Jodi Brust.
Miss Brust has been an instructor in the San Francisco Bay Area and is now bringing her expertise to the Sacramento Area.
Miss Brust is a statewide multiple award winning bartender. Most recently she has taken overall Second Place at the National Long Drink Competition. (May 2006) Mrs Brust also Placed First Place in California (May 2006) and First Place in the Northern California Bartending Competition Sponsored by the United States Bartenders Guild (April 2006). In Miss Brust's first competition she was awarded first place in the technical category. A natural right from the start.
Miss Brust is the author of the "Aabsolute Guide To Bartending" Subtitled "Bartending Is An Art" This book will be provided to all students free of charge.
Educational Background
Miss Brust holds degrees in both English and Mass Communications. During her college career she participated in a number of National Speech and Debate Tournaments.
In the 1997 Phi Rho Pi National Speech & Debate Tournament that was held in St. Paul, Minnesota, Miss Brust won a Bronze Medal in Impromptu speaking, a Silver Medal in CEDA (Cross Examination Debate Association) and a Silver Medal in Lincoln Douglass Debate.
During the California State Tournament of 1998 she won a Silver Medal in Lincoln Douglass Debate and the big one, A gold medal in CEDA.
Participating in the 1998 Phi Rho Pi National Tournament in Atlanta, Georgia, Miss Brust was awarded a Bronze Medal in Lincoln Douglass, A Silver Medal in Impromptu, A bronze Medal in Extemporaneous and a Speaker Award for Debate.
Because of her national awards Miss Brust was chosen to be a judge for high school and college public speaking and debate competitions.
Civic Contributions
Miss Brust, for five years was the Secretary of the Spring Creek Elementary School PTA. (She has 2 children) In the Rincon Valley Unified School District of Santa Rosa, Ca.
During this time Mrs Brust was also the successful chairperson of the local parcel tax campaign to raise funds for smaller class sizes in 3rd through 6th grades, School Band programs, Salaries for a computer lab technician, Librarian and physical education coach for all 8 schools within the district.
National Service
Miss Brust enlisted in the United States Navy and is a Gulf War Era Veteran. While in the service she acted as the personal Yeoman (secretary) of the commanding officer of Naval Station Charleston in South Carolina, the third largest Naval Station in the U.S. before it's closure.
Miss Brust also had the advantage of growing up in a household of restaurant owners and purveyors of fine liquors. With a lifetime of social interaction, and a commitment to excellence and customer service Miss Brust is sure to make you succeed.
Miss Brust has been a winner in all of her various endeavors and is now bringing her talents to Sacramento, Ca. in the form of the "Aabsolute School Of Bartending" with the goal of graduating the finest of bartenders around. With the collateral goal of being the premier school of bartending on the West Coast and beyond.
